Two unsuccessfuls

Thanks for sharing my pain! I received an email notification about one yesterday - other applicants had been found to better match the requirements. And the other, even after yesterday's delightful interview where I was sure I'd done well
(I'd only carried in a couple of satchels of show and tell products besides my laptop!)... I received a kind phone call this afternoon that 'it's not good news, I'm sorry'... 'we've found someone with more recent xyz experience who was a better match with our criteria'... 'I'd have no hesitation in recommending you for abc...'
I am - frankly - very shocked! I have one more 'possible' and about seven non-responses since last month that I take it mean 'no go'. This blog was meant to be a light-hearted journey, but it seems there's blood on the streets and we may be headed for the dark underworld! (Well, that's an exaggeration - but you know!)

  1. Take heart, Chris! Each 'no' brings you closer to a 'yes'! Evidently, these opportunies were not meant to be!

  2. Alex - Thank you! I've been trying to steal your hilarious devil cartoon - talk about laugh - (from the forum post) and paste it in here... (sincerest form of flattery)... as soon as I work out how to nick it... : )
